Drivers in Spanish city centres waste an average of 20-40 minutes per trip searching for parking, with no visibility into available spaces, price comparisons or reserved-spot guarantees across public garages, private operators and peer-to-peer lots. In dense areas like Madrid's Salamanca or Barcelona's Gracia, circling for a space contributes measurably to journey times and emissions.

The data exists - it is just scattered across municipal APIs, operator-only booking portals and thousands of private spaces never listed anywhere. No single product has connected these three supply layers into a bookable view for drivers. Until now the only options were driving in and hoping, or calling a garage in advance - neither of which gives reliable information before the driver has already committed to the route.

How it works

From request to booked space in three pipeline stages.

The platform sits between the driver and a fragmented set of parking operators, translating a simple search into a guaranteed booking through three steps.

Input

Driver enters destination, arrival time and vehicle type (standard, van, or EV with charger preference). An optional pre-booking window of up to 48 hours can be set for advance reservations. The platform uses this input to filter available spaces by vehicle compatibility and time window.

Processing

Real-time aggregation of available spaces from public garage APIs, private operator feeds and Caza Tu Plaza-listed peer spots; sorted by all-in price, distance and walk-time to destination. The aggregator refreshes municipal garage data every 90 seconds and private space data every 15 minutes. Results are ranked by walk-time circles from the destination pin, not crow-fly distance, because getting from the garage to the meeting matters as much as parking cost.

Output

Ranked list of bookable parking options with real-time pricing, walk-time and reservation confirmation. Entry QR code or plate-recognition token sent to the driver's phone before departure. For guaranteed reservations, the platform automatically re-routes to the nearest alternative if the original space becomes unavailable and refunds any price difference.

02 / Guaranteed Reservation

Book up to 48 hours ahead - the space is held for your window.

Advance reservations lock the space and send a QR code or plate-recognition token before departure. If the operator cannot honour the booking the platform automatically re-routes you to the nearest alternative and refunds the price difference.

All-in cost up front, every time.

The price card breaks down base rate, IVA at 21% and any operator surcharges before payment, so the number you see is the number you pay. Side-by-side comparison for up to three options.

04 / EV Charging Filter

Park and charge in the same trip.

Filter results by charger type (Type 2, CHAdeMO, CCS) and target state of charge. Surfaces only garages where a compatible charger is free at your arrival time. Charge time estimates calculated from vehicle type and battery level inputs.

05 / Peer-to-Peer Space Listings

List a private garage and earn from your unused hours.

Property owners list private parking spaces, set their own pricing and availability windows and get paid via direct bank transfer within 5 business days. Caza Tu Plaza charges a 12% platform fee on completed transactions. Listings go live after a brief verification check.

Who it is for

Built for Spanish urban drivers who park regularly in city centres.

Primary users

Spanish urban drivers aged 25-55 commuting to or visiting Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville two to five times per week. These are drivers who already know parking near their destination is difficult and time-consuming, and who have a phone in hand when they set off. They want to see real availability before they leave, not spend 30 minutes circling on arrival.

A second segment is private parking space owners - Valencia residents and small landlords who own a garage or driveway they do not use during working hours. Listing takes a single photo-and-location check and spaces go live within one business day.

Not designed for

Caza Tu Plaza is not built for drivers in rural areas or small towns where street parking is abundant and free. It is also not designed for commercial fleets or logistics operators using dedicated depot facilities - those use cases need fleet management systems, not a consumer booking layer. Our product is city-scale and individual-driver-focused by design.

Why now

Spain's major cities have invested in municipal parking API infrastructure over the last five years. That data exists but has never been aggregated into a single consumer product. Caza Tu Plaza is the first aggregation layer built specifically for Spanish drivers, starting in Valencia where the EMT public API covers the highest density of municipal garages in the country.
